Baby Goes Pro – Early Beginning
The Early Beginning DVD emphasizes the first two elements of the building blocks of sports, Equipment and Movement. Set to a mix of original composition and sing-a-long songs, featuring vivid colorful imagery, with Emkei the Monkey as coach, children will be captivated and entertained while being introduced to the most basic fundamentals of five, skill oriented, sports: tennis, golf, soccer, basketball and baseball. The movements are demonstrated by professional and collegiate athletes in a technically correct manner. Interactive flash cards introduce young viewers to the equipment for each sport and movements performed by the athletes. The goal of the series is not to “create” professional athletes, but to introduce children at a young age to sports in order to enhance their motion development and encourage physical fitness.
Our products are a vehicle to inspire a generation to move. The lovable animated character, Emkei the Monkey (pronounced “M.K.”) plays the role of both host and “coach” throughout the video series. Your child’s age will determine which product is
appropriate for you.
For children 3 to 6 years
Baby Goes Pro – Intermediate (Available at Target in September)
The DVD focuses on the third and fourth building blocks of sports, Know-How and Externals. A clever, age appropriate, introduction to sports using shapes, geometry and math teaches children the rules of each sport. Set to original music with a mix of colorful imagery and on-the-field shots, featuring Emkei the Monkey as the host, children will be captivated and entertained while being introduced to the advanced fundamentals of five non-contact, skill oriented sports - tennis, golf, soccer, basketball and baseball. The DVD features expanded instruction aimed at introducing the sports environment, correct technique and basic rules associated with each sport.
For children over 6 years
These DVDs are sports specific (ex. Baby Goes Pro-Tennis) and focus on the fifth building blocks of sport, Instruction. The DVD will provide basic instruction at an age when children are able to begin to actively participate in each sport. World class athletes, along with Emkei the Monkey, will provide technically sound, age appropriate instruction in a fun and engaging setting. Coming in 2011!
